I have a question. How long do you have to train on a simulator before they let you fly a new plane you have never flown before? Are the simulators really like the actual plane?
A, Typically training is 4-5 weeks with 4 hour sim sessions everyday after the first week. And yes the simulators now are very much like the airplane with very realistic visuals and three-axis motion. You feel ready by the time you get to the actual aircraft. Interestingly, your first actual flight in any new a/c is always a revenue flight! Thanks for the questions --D
